NEWSLETTER
MARCH 2010
Greetings fellow Shooting Sports Enthusiasts!
I recently volunteered to prepare our newsletter. I will (attempt to) publish it monthly the week after the RR&GC (Redmond Rod & Gun Club) Board Meetings which are held on 1st Monday of each month (allowing for occasional shuffle to accommodate holidays, etc.). I am open to input from each of the shooting disciplines, and it is best if I get said input at the Board Meeting or by the following Tuesday at latest.
Read on for all the news that is newsworthy
From Your President, Vice-Presidents, & Board Members
RR&GC President Gerry Glave
says:
Hello
In keeping with the “One Club” concept, we are open to ideas to draw more
shooters to multiple disciplines.
Please forward your ideas / suggestions via e-mail, or drop note at the Rifle
Range. You are invited to attend
Board Meetings on 1st Monday of month as well.
A step in that direction is noted in the Rifle /

President, RR&GC

Cleanup day at
Handgun Range was dirty fun indeed.
The crew raked the major berms, repaired minor berms, moved and added
berms and generally spruced up the place.
A round of applause to; Josh Bishop, Brian Ferry, Dennis Mikesh, Jim
Oeder, Si Simonson, Jason Tryon, Terrence Wonser, Tom York and Gary Bryson.
Extra special thanks to Mo Chandler who provided tractor/scoop to move
all the dirt and level range floor (saved about a zillion shovels full).

Education Field Day will be held on the rifle and pistol range on Saturday,

There will be a Bowling Pin Shoot Match on Sunday, March 14, from
From Pin Shoot Director Romey Bromwich:
If anyone is planning on being at the pin shoot March 14, our secretary
asked for pre registrations to log in ahead of time to make things even faster
day of the event. This way she can find
your name on the registration and only need to collect fees.
So if you plan on attending email me back
with the events you know you will be shooting. Of
course you can add to or take off events day of when you pay. It’s just
something that saves range time. If
you get your name down and can’t make it, it’s no big deal but if you do plan on
it as of this time please do so.
Thanks, all.

We’re taking some backward steps.
Over the past few weekends we have found cut locks, a chair shot up, golf balls
shot up and beer cans shot up and left lying about.
Gotta stop, folks. Such
behavior does not support the “Safe Shooting Sports Venue” we are trying to
promote. Whoever you are, please
move on…
